    East Hartford Softball

A public website and lightweight operations platform for East Hartford Softball, a 501(c)(3) youth softball nonprofit in Connecticut, built pro bono. Families browse programs, events, news, and sponsors, and register a player online with a branded confirmation email. The board runs the season from an invite-only admin dashboard: posting site-wide alert banners, emailing registered families by event or date, and printing clinic-day check-in sheets. Built with Astro 7, Tailwind CSS 4, React islands, Clerk, Resend, and Vercel, with Airtable as the entire backend: 14 tables created by a setup script, server-only access behind a data-service layer, idempotent writes with deterministic IDs, cached reads budgeted against the API quota, and an audit log of every consequential action. Read the case study for the full breakdown of how Airtable is used, plus the downloadable admin guide written for the board.
